Job Description

Rebar Fabricator


The Rebar Fabricator will be responsible for cutting, bending, and shaping reinforcing steel bars or rebar to create the structural framework for concrete structures. The successful candidate will have experience working with rebar, be detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic.

Rebar Fabricator Tasks & Duties (What You ll Do):

  • Read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the type, size, and amount of rebar needed for each project.
  • Measure and cut rebar to specific lengths using manual or hydraulic cutting equipment.
  • Bend and shape rebar using hand tools or hydraulic equipment, according to the project specifications.
  • Assemble and tie together rebar to create the framework for concrete structures.
  • Maintain and repair rebar fabrication equipment as needed.
  • Ensure that all safety procedures are followed and that work is done in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the team to ensure that project deadlines are met.
  • Keep a clean and organized work area.


Rebar Fabricator Qualifications (Requirements/Skills):

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass a physical
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of rebar types, sizes, and grades.
  • Familiarity with rebar fabrication equipment and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.


Rebar Fabricator Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments.
  • Ability to work in hot, humid, or cold environments.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
