Paint Shop Laborer Tasks & Duties (What You'll Do)

  • Works in paint and blast booth environment wearing proper safety equipment
  • Sets up, operates, and cleans sandblasting equipment, loads machine hopper with abrasives such as grit or shot
  • Applies masking materials to protect designated areas from abrasive action
  • Cleans the blasted material of any extra grit after completion of blasting surfaces
  • Cleans welds after sandblasting
  • Fills dents and grinding marks in metal surfaces
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
  • Good vision and hand-eye coordination skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Paint Shop Laborer Shift Info

  • 6:00 am to 3:30 pm
  • Monday - Thursday

Paint Shop Laborer Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)

  • Preferences will be given to candidates with a minimum of at least one year of welding / grinding / blasting or metal construction experience
  • Requires good attention to details
  • Must be capable of working in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move more up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Good communications ability must be able to hear and to communicate verbally.
