Meat Cutter and Trimmer Tasks & Duties (What You ll Do)

Clean, trim, slice, and section carcasses for future processing.

Cut and trim meat to prepare for packing.

Inspect meat products for defects, bruises or blemishes and remove them along with any excess fat.

Process primal parts into cuts that are ready for retail use.

Separate meats and byproducts into specified containers and seal containers.

Weigh meats and tag containers for weight and contents.

Use knives, and other equipment to perform meat cutting and trimming.

Meat Cutter and Trimmer Shift Information

Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

Meat Cutter and Trimmer Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members

Able to pass a fit for duty assessment.

Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Able to pass a background check.

Able to work in the US.
