Tasks & Duties (What You'll Do)

To perform work involving the marking and cutting, ensuring proper documentation and accountability of all materials received, marked, laid out and cut. Finished work is inspected for conformance to instructions and acceptable standards of workmanship.

  • Set up materials to be cut by cut ticket
  • Select appropriate materials from stock.
  • Maintain inventory of raw materials for production of product
  • Maintain Fabric usage report
  • Mark and pin fabric being cut insuring accuracy and quantity of product being cut.
  • Cut product utilizing Lectra automated cutting system
  • Cut product utilizing Eastman cutting machine or scissors.
  • Conduct monthly inventory of raw materials insuring product is marked with applicable style number
  • Receive materials or products from vendors.
  • Separate and deliver cut product to the sewing room supervisor with appropriate documentation.
  • Stock raw materials on shelves for inventory
  • Provide proper care and cleaning of assigned equipment and work area.
  • Coordinate with sewing department to ensure the daily status report update is correct and shipping dates can be met.

Shift Info

  • Day Shift, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • Monday - Friday

Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)

  • Work overtime if requested
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for the entire shift
  • Mechanically oriented, hardworking and proven production
  • Good attendance record is mandatory
