Description:
Essential Duties and Tasks
Below are the highest priority responsibilities performed in this position on a monthly basis. (The statements below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Check for proper closure on production end.
Check for correct fold: to face or back - top or bottom.
Check for EZ open tear string.
Watch for printing errors out of register, etc.
Check for tuber errors such as draw roll cracks, tears, rollovers, loose walls, etc.
Check proper count per bundle.
Check proper count per box.
Label all boxes as per shift, machine load.
Stack bags neatly into boxes or pallets.
Reclaim work.
Inserting work.
Use of proper stacking patterns for bundles.
Check for and replace all flawed bags with good replacement bags.
Demonstrate ability to utilize the Shoplogix system.
Follow work instructions from mechanics, operators, Lead People and Supervisors.
Work in other areas as instructed by the Supervisor or Lead Person.
Work overtime as needed.
Must have good verbal and comprehensive communication skills.
Perform outside duties as instructed by the Supervisor or Lead Person.
Follow all Plant and Safety Rules.
Assist in Training.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to all levels of the organization
Good organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
High School diploma required
Work Environment
Work primarily in a non-climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection required.
This role operates primarily in a manufacturing environment. Employee may be exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area during extremely hot summer months.
