Tasks & Duties (What You'll Do)

Seeking experienced blogger who is SEO oriented to be responsible for conceptualizing, writing, editing and promoting the content of Footwear blogs. This position is to create content that will maximize the volume of inbound organic traffic from search engines to our website. The candidate will accomplish his/her work through a combination of on-page and off-page techniques, including link-building, social media strategy, viral marketing, metadata sculpting, site speed optimization, content strategy, information architecture, and more. Blogger-SEO oriented works in a dynamic environment that requires her/him to be continually learning, fine-tuning their skills, and experimenting to discover how the industry is shifting.

  • Generating, researching, and pitching ideas for posts with scheduling and execution timeline.
  • Maximizing site traffic by utilizing Search Engine Optimization keywords.
  • Writing, editing, publishing, and promoting content relevant to the blog s topics that have been scheduled.
  • Researching topics thoroughly to ensure that all content is accurate.
  • Creating engaging visual content such as photographs or illustrations that support blog posts.
  • Inviting other bloggers, experts, or other notable guests to contribute content to the webpage.
  • Promoting new posts using advertisements, emails, social media, and other methods to alert and attract new readers.
  • Attracting new readers by promoting content through email marketing campaigns.
  • Providing excellent customer service to readers who have questions about products or services mentioned in blog posts.
  • Monitoring responses to posts via the website, social media, or other platforms to better understand the audience.
  • Creating and maintaining relationships with other bloggers in the industry.
  • Conducting interviews with experts in the field of interest.
  • Advocating and educating others about interests, products, or services.
  • Staying current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create stronger, more engaging content

Shift Info

  • Day Shift
  • Part-Time, 15-20 hrs. per week
  • Monday - Friday

Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)

  • Bachelor s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of the target audience and shoe industry trends.
  • Proficiency with computers, especially content management software, social media platforms, Google Doc, and SEO keywords, basic understanding of HTML
  • Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Creativity and adaptability.
  • Experience with Google and Bing s services, including Analytics and Webmaster Tools.
  • Experience with Google s Keyword Tool.
  • A functional understanding of HTML and CSS.
  • The ability to work with back-end SEO elements.
  • Proven success in link building and viral strategies.
  • A solid grasp of how blogging, press releases, social media, and related strategies go hand-in-hand with SEO
  • Experience in building inbound organic search traffic and improving Search Engine Results Page (SERP)
